PRINCETON - William E. "Bill" Blankenship (Blue Wolf), 76, of Skeen Lane, Princeton died Tuesday evening, August 9, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital surrounded by his family and his Pastors Larry White & Ryan Meadows.

Born December 30, 1939 at Abbs Valley, VA, he was the son of the late Roy & Pearlie Blankenship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife Lois Blankenship.

Bill was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served with the U.S. Army. For more than 20 years, Bill worked in the coal mines, later owned & operated the Blankenship Sealing & Paving Company and retired as the owner of Blankenship Body Repair.

Bill's hobbies included fishing, hunting, car racing, watching NASCAR and spoiling his grandchildren.

Bill was of the Pentecostal faith; he attended the Pentecostal Chapel of Praise on Wickham Avenue in Princeton.

Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Helen Jones Blankenship of Princeton; Three children: Dorothy McMillan & Tina McMillan both of Beckley & Junior Blankenship. Step-daughters: Cindy Hall & husband Rodney, Sherri Taylor & husband Eddie all of Princeton. The joy of his life, his grandchildren: Bryanna Taylor & husband Dennis & children Devin, Tyler, Amber & Chasidy Shockley all of Bluefield,

Crystal Tracy & husband Bobby & daughter Neveah of Princeton, Telly Gilley & wife Angie & children of W. Hamlin, Nick Gilley & wife Kim & children of Princeton, Brook Taylor & son Trever & daughter Brooklynn of Princeton, Chastie McMillan & Danny McVey Sr. of Beckley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 13, 2016 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Larry White & Ryan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
