Wanda "Joyce" Obituary

Wanda "Joyce" Martin, 75, of Heritage Hall, Tazewell, Va., formerly of Pocahontas, Va., passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Heritage Hall. Born July 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Violet Shrader Jennings and Homer Jennings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Jennings and Roger Jennings. Joyce is survived by two brothers, Buddy Jennings of Pocahontas, Va. and Johnny Jennings (Shirley) of Boonville, N.C.; three sisters, Juanita Pendergrass of Bluefield, Va., Connie Jennings and Kathy Harless (Kelly) of Pocahontas, Va.; three nieces and two nephews. Joyce's working career was in retail where she was cashier at various stores in North Carolina and Ohio. She was a volunteer for Clinch Valley Community Action with twenty years of service. Joyce was of the Holiness faith. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Graveside rights will be held on Monday October 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. with the Reverend Mike Gibson officiating. Friends and family are asked to meet at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. at 2:00 p.m. for the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Center for Christian Action in Pocahontas, Va.
