Cary, NC - Timothy Brian Dale, 56, of Cary, North Carolina passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of both his wife and his two children. After a hard fought 2 year battle with cancer, Brian's body grew tired while his mind remained strong and his heart never ceasing in the love he had for his family. Even while fighting, he always remained the comforting, joyful, humorous presence he had always been.
Born in Bluefield, West Virginia on October 7, 1969, Brian had a quiet strength, a gentle steadiness, and a deep appreciation for the simple things life brought. He would move with his wife and make his home in Cary, North Carolina, where he would create a life built upon the love and devotion he had for his family, working to ensure that he could provide everything he could for them.
Brian was the loving husband and unwavering partner of 28 years to Kristy Ann Dale and the kind, endlessly supportive father and role model of Ian Timothy Dale and Emma Lauren Dale. He always put his family first, it was his pride and his life's purpose, and above all else, his greatest joy.
He never ceased in finding happiness in the everyday moments, always finding a way to appreciate them and build them into something more just through the love he expressed. Family dinners, playing games with his family, going on family bike rides through the neighborhood and green ways, and simply being there with his family were all highlights of his life.
He had many passions in his life, flying being one of them. Earning his private pilot's license, he was able to fully embrace the freedom and wonder of the skies. Brian never ceased his love of creating and learning, using it to fuel his love of 3D printing, programming, and working on different projects that not only allowed him to work on interesting obstacles, but to provide more for his family. He passed down that same love for creativity to his children, inspiring and supporting their imaginations through video games such as Minecraft, as well as fueling their love of music and writing, always telling them to never let a label define who you are.
He would always hold a special place in his heart for the family trips they would all take. Family cruises to the Caribbean would be some of his favorite times, however Myrtle Beach always held a special place in his heart, especially during his children's younger years. They would spend all day on the beach and in the pool, playing games and activities that he'd create alongside his children. Aruba was another special place to him, as he always found it a place of peace, beauty, and a time of true relaxation and reflection.
Holidays were always times of love and joy with family. Halloween always held a special place in his heart. He and his wife would work together to decorate their house to create a new world, crafting a story and bringing a feeling of magic and fun to his family and community. The Fourth of July was another favorite of his. He'd grill the family brats and hot dogs, then after would bring the family to watch the local firework display, then setting off miniature fireworks with his family, wanting to give them an intimate show of lights, sounds, and colors. He also enjoyed the holiday for the summer weather, spending time with his family in the pool while relaxing on his inflatable and enjoying the pleasure of the outdoors.
For his career, Brian worked as an HPC manager and took great pride in his work, valuing the relationships he had built along with the purpose his career had given him. He was thoughtful, dependable, and deeply respected by those who knew him both personally and professionally.
His love for animals showed in his love for his Pomeranian, Kira, who gave him endless affection, companionship, and joy, especially during moments of quiet around the house.
Brian was a man who loved deeply and lived gently. He was patient, kind, steady, and selfless, always placing the needs of others and his family before his own. His legacy is found in all the memories he helped forge, the love he shared endlessly, and the humor, safety, joy, and warmth he gave everyone that was fortunate enough to know him.
Brian will be forever remembered and treasured, and profoundly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held for him at a later date.
