BLAND, Va. - God received another angel on November 24, 2016, Shirley Lee Dotson Sparks, age 78, of Bland met her Lord and Savior. Shirley was born in Bluefield, WV on September 13, 1938.

She was a graduate of Bluefield High School.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Anna Dotson; three brothers, James Gordon and Con; three sisters Thelma, Donna and Geraldine; and her loving and caring husband, James "Sparky" Sparks.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bobby Eaton; Thelma and Jimmy Gallimore both of Bland; She was blessed with three grandchildren, Jamie and Jeff Railsback; Jake and Stevie Eaton; and Amber Eaton all of Bland; step granddaughter Brittany and Patrick Goard all of Wytheville. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Cotton and Ava Railsback of Bland; step granddaughter Hannah Taylor of Wytheville.

Funeral service will be held 11 A.M. on November 26, 2016 at Highland's Bland Funeral Chapel with Reverend Kevin Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA.

The family will receive friends from 10 until the time of the service at the funeral Home on Saturday.
