JEWELL RIDGE, Va. - Seth Gilford "S.G." Altizer, age 82, of Jewell Ridge, Virginia, passed away Saturday, October 03, 2015 at his home. He was born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia and was the son of the late Howard and Carrie Mae Smith Altizer. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was the founder and owner and operator of Blue Wolf Corporation. He also owned the Sunset Store and Service Station at Jewell Ridge, Virginia. He loved the outdoors and especially loved riding motorcycles. He was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1952. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Howard Gilford Altizer and Darrell Lane Altizer; and one sister, Helen Fletcher. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors are: His Wife: Helen Delores Regon Altizer. One Daughter: Tina Altizer of Jewell Ridge, Virginia. One Grandson: Adam Nichols. Graveside services for Seth Gilford "S.G." Altizer will be conducted Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 1pm at the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia with Richard Peebles officiating.
