Sara Puckett Reese


Sara Puckett Reese, age 66 of North Tazewell, VA died Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born December 13, 1952 at Tazewell, VA she was a daughter of Charlotte Harman Puckett of North Tazewell, VA and the late Eugene Puckett. She was a member of Stoney Ridge Family Church.
Sara was a graduate of Tazewell High School and the University of Tennessee/Chattanooga where she earned her BS degree. She also had a degree in business administration. She worked as a Clinical Assistant, Medical Technician, was a Master Gardener and an artist. Before her illness she volunteered at Lilies of the Field.
In addition to her mother, Charlotte Puckett of North Tazewell, VA, she is survived by her husband, Barry W. Reese; her son, Barry Lee Reese of North Tazewell, VA; sister, Alma Puckett of Baton Rouge, LA; grandson, Barry Wayne Reese, II; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM with Pastors Ed Blair and Barry W. Reese officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to Tazewell County Animal Shelter, 736 Camp Joy Rd, Bluefield, VA 24605.

My heart is broken for the loss of Sara - she was such an accomplished and beautiful person. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all and you are in my prayers. Heaven just got sweeter. for all of us.
