Sandra Kaye Preservati, 76, of Princeton, WV, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident in Giles County, VA. Born in Princeton on November 18, 1948, she was the daughter of Dottie Meadows Bauguess of Princeton and the late George Bauguess. Affectionately known as Sandy, she worked briefly as a substitute teacher in the Mercer County School System before dedicating her life to being a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She was a proud graduate of Princeton High School and went on to receive her B.S. Degree from Concord University. A lover of animals, especially dogs and cats, Sandy avidly supported groups that cared for them. She leaves behind her mother, Dottie Meadows Bauguess; her husband of 52 years and favorite travel companion, Robert "Chuck" Preservati; and her two sons, Robert Ryan "Robi" Preservati of Richmond, VA, and Jonathan Ross Preservati of Eustis, FL. Sandy is also survived by her two granddaughters, Carolina Preservati and Lila Preservati; her sister, Elizabeth Bauguess and husband Terry; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Father Sebastian Devasya. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Chance For Cats or the Mercer County Humane Society.
