Bluefield, VA - With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Roy Carlous Riley on February 27, 2026. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Beaulah Riley, daughter, Amanda Riley and sister Sandy Case.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen; daughter, Laura and Bobby Chappell: grandson, Noah Riley and granddaughter, Annsley Chappell.

Born September 22, 1944, Roy was a friend to everyone he met. He had a big heart and loved working outside, hunting, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He served in the army during the Vietnam War (Big Red One) and earned a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts and multiple other medals. He was proud to have served his country. Roy owned J & R Manufacturing, Inc. and has been in business for 50 years. He thought the world of all his dedicated employees. He called them his J & R family.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 4th at Dudley Memorial from 5:00-7:00 P.M.

Military graveside services will conducted by the Mercer County Honor Guard on Thursday, March 5th at 2:00 P.M. at Grandview Memory Mausoleum Chapel. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Grandview by 1:45 P.M.
