Roger "Little Pot" Zane Adams (87) sixth and last child of Edna Tabor Adams and Isaac Melvin Adams, was born Dec. 23, 1933, in Bluestone, WV. In 1953 he married Elizabeth Bell and remained married 67 years until Lizzie's death on January 9, 2020. In his later years he described her as "the best thing that ever happened to me."

Roger joined the Air Force in 1954, worked as a radar specialist, and retired in 1974 to the Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, area where he owned a Dunlop tire dealership. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Europe, Asia, and Africa and received commendation and good conduct medals. Roger enjoyed the camaraderie in the Air Force and made many life-long, loyal friends. Roger and Lizzie moved back to West Virginia in 1995 after the deaths of their sons David and Larry.

He spent most of his spare time fishing in the southern states. He was intensely interested in several musical genres and computers. An analytical thinker, he loved tinkering and using duct tape to fix almost anything.

Diagnosed with heart disease when he was 40, he thought he would "die young," but outlived all his sisters, brother, two sons and wife. Reflecting on his life, he said he had a good life and was lucky to have lived in the most prosperous era in the history of the world.

Survived by Kathy and Brig Samson (daughter and son-in-law); Atalie Adams and Victoria Samson (granddaughters); Riley, Jeannie, and Ava Kathleen (great granddaughters); Doug Davidson and family; Max Bell; Bill Bell and family.

Roger passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021, in Sevierville TN, one day before the inauguration which some people believe was too much for him to bear. He will be interred beside Lizzie in Woodlawn Cemetery, WV. No service will be held.
