PRINCETON- Rhoda "Brownie" Williams, 90, of Princeton Health Care Center, formerly of Matoaka, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Born January 28, 1929 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Jackson and Rhoda Brown Jackson.
Mrs. Williams attended Bailey Memorial Baptist Church in Giatto. She was a very giving person and no one left her house without something in their hand. She was very compassionate and loved her grandchildren. She liked the outdoors and feeding animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Williams; and numerous siblings of the Jackson and Twohig families.
Survivors include three children, Wayne "Willie" Williams and wife Joan of Lashmeet, Carol Sue Cox and husband Tim of Bluefield and Mary (K) Comerose of North Tazewell, VA; sister, Betty Davis of Bluefield; half-sister, Mary Jane Rorrer of Princeton; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Brother Randy Davis and Pastor Larry Akers officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 23, 2019 from noon until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.bailey-kirk.com.
