Rev. Nathaniel E. Burroughs Sr. Obituary

Rev. Nathaniel E. Burroughs Sr. a resident of Princeton; formerly of Kimball, who departed this life on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Princeton Community Hospital. He was born November 12, 1946 in Superior and the son of the late Frank Burroughs Sr. and Cleo Josephine Steptoe.

Nathaniel leaves cherished memories to his wife of 50 years, Jacqueline and their children: Cheryl (Bobby) Saunders, Carolyn (Joseph III.) Hayes, Timothy (Martina) Alexander, Nathaniel (Jasmine) Burroughs Jr., and Jonathan (April) Burroughs; two grands always available to help out, Cherelle (Cedric) Thomas and Joseph Hayes IV., 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces and cousins; one sister, Sharon Barnett; brother-in-law, Ray Baker; several in-laws: Constance Sales, Danielle Alexander and Lola Alexander, Edward Alexander, Robert (Kelly) Alexander, Catherine (Eugene) Lacy, Leroy Alexander, Patricia (Robert) Hairston, Shirley (Raymond) King, Elizabeth (James) Young and Calvin Alexander.

Rev. Burroughs' Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Thorpe, with the Revs. Charles Collins, David Cooper, George Masterson, Bishop Dwight Palmer and Rev. Earl Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery, Bluewell, where burial rites will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
