Raymond Odell Brewster, 76, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his home in Dublin. He was a correctional officer with the VA Dept. of Corrections for 20 years and formerly worked for Klopman Mills, Renfro and was a former manager of Safeway Food Stores. He was a member of Highland Park Community Church.
He was a 1960 graduate of Big Creek High School where he was a fullback on the football team the Big Creek Owls.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Resin Orastas and Martha Jessee Brewster; 2 sisters and a brother.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margaret Alice Brewster; daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly "Jake" Brewster of Christiansburg, and Kelley and Phillip McDaniel of Dublin; grandchildren, Miles Addison Mabry, Courtney Michelle Mabry, Landon Crockett McDaniel and Peyton Ray McDaniel; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Thurl Billips of Falls Church; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Highland Park Community Church. Memorial services will follow with Rev. Phillip Madison and Rev. Mike Blouse officiating.
The Brewster family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
