OAKVALE — Pearlie Mae Adams, 84, of Oakvale died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 11, 1931 in Maybeury, WV she was the daughter of the late Benjamin S. Bird and Susie Stahl Bird. She was retired from food service at Oakvale and Thorn schools and had been a resident of this area most of her life. Pearlie was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Oakvale. Her main focus in life was caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul T. Adams; and eleven brothers and sisters. Survivors include three daughters, Diza Brown and Sue Jones and husband Don all of Oakvale and Florence Dooly of Pipestem; four sons, Steve Adams and wife Sandra of Oakvale, Tommy Adams and wife Doris and Rad Adams and wife Frances all of Princeton and Chad Adams and wife Pam of Kellysville; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Cathleen Mullins of Crumpler, WV; and one sister-in-law, Annie Bird of Christiansburg, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 (today) at the Faith Baptist Church in Oakvale with Pastor Terry Lambert officiating. Friends may call at the church from 6:00 PM until the service hour today. Graveside committal services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Oakvale Cemetery. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by the service hour on Thursday.
