Nesbie (Stiltner) Childress, 98 years of age of Kingsport TN, formerly of Poplar Creek, VA passed away June 8, 2022, at the Steadman Hill Campus Asbury Place, Kingsport TN.
Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Martha (Swiney) Stiltner. She was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and had lived ten years in Kingsport, TN and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. She was a loving mother, sister, owned and ran Neb's Quick Stop on poplar creek, and a wonderful homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Childress; daughter: Jerlene Childress; brothers: Arlen, Dave, Carson and Howard Stiltner; sisters: Kelse Clevinger, Linda Barnett.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son: James (Linda) Childress, Kingsport, TN; 2-grandchildren: Israel Childress, Mariah Childress; sister: Reatha Robis; brother: JC Stiltner. Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services for Nesbie (Stiltner) Childress will be conducted Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
