Nancy Sue Stowers Gilpin Obituary

Nancy Sue Stowers Gilpin, age 80, of Bastian, VA passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

She was born September 15, 1940 in Bland County, daughter of the late Ballard and Eula Mae Smith Stowers.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Stowers and Jim Stowers; two sisters, Mary Williams and Erma Havens.

Nancy was a member of Rocky Gap United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, William "Gene" Gilpin; daughter, Lisa and Dean Phillips of Mt. Pleasant, NC; two sons, Kevin and Lisa Gilpin of Pulaski, VA, Dwayne Gilpin and Kimberly Clark of Dublin, VA; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Hallman, Jeffrey Phillips, Matthew Gilpin and Christopher Gilpin; grand-grandchild, Parker Hallman; two sisters, Freda Williams of Rocky Gap, VA and Judy Grubb of Bluefield, VA; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Rocky Gap United Methodist Church with the Reverend Rodney Lawson officiating. Please observe Covid-19 regulations by social distancing and wearing a mask.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Memory Gardens, 38659 Gov. G.C. Peery Highway, Bluefield, VA 24605.
