Bluefield, West Virginia - Bluefield, WV - Melinda Lee Gibbons 83 of Bluefield, WV and formerly of Baltimore, MD died Saturday March 14, 2026 at Mercer Healthcare Center. Melinda was born October 2, 1942 in Baltimore, MD a daughter of the late Clarence W. Macken and Ruth Lactic Bouck. She lived a life devoted to her faith in The Lord Jesus Christ, literature and work. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step son Stephen Gibbons; a brother Jon Bouck; and sister Lisa Broun.

Melinda was known for her kindness, gentleness and she was an avid reader. Throughout her life she enjoyed music, horses, volunteering at her church and studying the Bible. Moreover, her love for acting lead her to join The Spotlighter's Theatre in Baltimore, MD.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Cecil (Gibby) Gibbons, Jr.; a daughter Sheri Davis (Son-In-Law Stewart Davis; grandchildren Ellen and Matthew; a great-granddaughter Isla. She is also survived by her step daughter Carole Gibbons; a sister Marsha McComas; and a brother Jeff Bouck.

Melinda donated her body to the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV

A private service will be held at a later date to memorialize her Christian life.
