BLUEWELL, WV - On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, Matthew Alan Stevens ran into the open arms of our Lord Jesus Christ while at Duke University Medical Center.
Born on February 27, 2015 in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of Shannon A. Stevens and Jessica L. Kegley Stevens.
Matthew was a fighter for the five years of his life. He was a loving child with an infectious smile. Those who knew Matthew loved him. He loved his dog "Razz" as well as having a love for all animals. Mickey Mouse, the Lion King and Puppy Dog Pals were only a few of his favorite movies and shows.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Elijah, of the home; grandparents, Debbie and Greg Stevens of Bluefield, WV; great-grandparents, Curtis Gillespie, Gene Stevens, and Brenda Johnson; uncle, Gary "G" Remines; and aunts, Cassie Dillow, Sarah Remines, and Grace Remines.
A Celebration of Life for Matthew will be a private service.
