Mary Dillow Ingram Obituary

BLAND, Va. -- We celebrate the life of Mary Dillow Ingram (Aunt Mary), age 98, she passed away Friday, April 29, 2016.

If we could sit across the porch from God we would thank Him for the wonderful gift of her life. She was born May 5, 1917 to the late Conley Trigg Dillow and Della Elizabeth Tickle Dillow. She loved her Bland County home and porch. She was always a show stopper and her gardens were plentiful and well tended. Her passion for gardening was only superceded by her passion and love of her treasured family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by: her husband, W.P. (Billy) Ingram; five brothers, Conley Talbott Dillow, Gleaves Dillow, Minnis Nye Dillow, Cecil Guy Dillow and Roy Woodson Dillow; two sisters, Anna Wayne Wyatt and Virginia Myrtle Hounshell.

She is survived by: one son, Buddy Ingram and wife Joyce; one daughter, Louise Morgan; one brother, Andrew Wagner Dillow; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Highland Bland Funeral Chapel with Mr. Henry Conley and Rev. Andrew Wagner Dillow, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Morning Star Cemetery, Bland, VA.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday, May 2, 2016 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Bland County Senior Center, 2299 N. Scenic Hwy., Bland, VA 24315. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.highlandfuneralservice.com.
