Mary Davis Byrd, age 73, of Narrows, VA in Bland County, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022. She was born August 28, 1948 in Bluefield, WV, daughter of the late Charles and Bobbie Wycle Davis. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Sue, Barbara and Diana.
Mary was an active member of Bastian Union Church and assisted with the Women's Sunday School class. She was an avid gardener; she loved cooking and reading her Bible. Mary was a loving wife, Mother, Mee Maw and enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, W.T. "Butch" Byrd, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Craig Sarver of Rocky Gap, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Molly Byrd; five grandchildren, Kody Sarver and wife Ariel, Chase Sarver and fiancée Emily, Jake Richardson and fiancée Amalia, Tom Byrd and Luke Byrd; two great-grandchildren, Maverick and arriving soon, Jemma.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Bastian Union Church with the Reverend Larry Ramey officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, one hour before service time at the church.
