Narrows - Martha Haxall Holzgrefe, 81 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 16, 1941, in Richmond, VA, as daughter of the late Paul and Nancy Holzgrefe. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul William Holzgrefe and John David Holzgrefe.

Martha was the head pharmacist at Rite Aid in Rich Creek, VA, until her retirement in 2012. She was a longtime member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Pearisburg. She always gave generously of her time, talent and treasure. She loved God and her neighbors and did her best to love them well.

She is survived by her children, Katherine Blackburn and Michael Holcomb (Jayne); her brother, James Patrick Holzgrefe (Lacy), her grandson Anthony Riggs (Sara) and two great grandchildren, Trowa Riggs and Kaysen Riggs.

Her Funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pearisburg, VA. Visitation will be from 10am at the church, with graveside service after Mass, in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows, VA.
