PRINCETON - Margola Love "Margo" Abshire, 81, of Bluefield, formerly of Harrison Street in Princeton died Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Born September 8, 1935 at McComas, she was the daughter of the late Greely Abshire & Mamie Williams Abshire.

Margo was a graduate of McComas High School. After high school, Margo worked for Bluefield Music School, then Maytag Store in Princeton.

She was well known in the Princeton area, having worked for more than 30 years at Whittaker's Jewelry Store on Mercer Street in Princeton.

While her health permitted, she was a faithful member of Kee Street United Methodist Church where she played the organ and piano for many years, and was also involved with the children's choir.

Margo was talented in many areas such as, cake decorating, photography, archery and she enjoyed bowling.

She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt to many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice McClung.

Survivors are her sister: Shirlene Hawkes & husband Noah D. of Matoaka; Nieces and Nephew: Starlene Johnson, Brian Hawkes, Carla Snyder & Sabrina Gouch; Great-nieces and nephews: Logan, Destiny & Ryan Hawkes, Sarah & Kaley Snyder, Ella Gouch; Step-nieces and nephew: Justin Gerber, Austin Shrewsbury, Santana Laws & Jackie Dunbar; Brother-in-law, Gary McClung of VA.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday December 14, 2016 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor David Damewood officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.

Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
