Margie Lee Templeton (Walker), 92 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Margie was born July 5, 1929 in Holden, WV. Margie's source of joy was her family.

Margie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ewell Roscoe Templeton.

She leaves behind three loving children, Patty Gail Cecil, RK Templeton, and Rick Templeton. Margie fiercely loved her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Born third of eight, to Charles and Florence Walker, Margie cherished her role as the older sister of Mary Gail Hart, Patty Glavaris, and Raymond Walker. Margie was one of the revered "Great A's" of the Walker family. She had numerous nieces and nephews who were a bright light throughout her long life. Margie was a beacon of positivity. Margie demonstrated kindness, compassion, and poise in all scenarios. She left behind a legacy of how to truly "do unto others as you would have them do to you." Margie was a life-long learner. Her 30 year career as an English teacher provided her profound gratification. She valued the consistency of grammar, and the imagination within literature. She will be missed every day by those who loved her.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Tazewell Christian Church where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with Pastor Nathan Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, VA. Pallbearers are Samuel Cecil, Isaac Cecil, Dustin Spivey, Eli Griffey, Josh Price, and Harris Hart. Adam Templeton will serve as honorary pallbearer.
