Margaret Whitley Tabor went home to be with the Lord on November 28, 2024, at Wythe County Community Hospital. She was born on September 29, 1937, in Pocahontas, Virginia, to Marvin Whitley and Bertie Church Whitley. She was the valedictorian of the Graham High School Class of 1955 and attended National Business College. She worked as an accountant for GMAC, retiring as a senior accounting supervisor.

She was a faithful member of Falls Mills Christian Church since 1946. She was a talented, dedicated pianist from age 7 to 87. She played for the church and for The Golden Hearts quartet.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and board games, traveling, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 34 years, Donald Tabor, Sr.; her sister, Betty Ernest, and her brother, Carlton Whitley. She is survived by her son, Donald Tabor, Jr. (Kathy), of Villanow, Georgia; and her son, Ronald Tabor (Pamela), of Blacksburg, Virginia. She is also survived by her grandson, Matthew Tabor, of Morristown, Tennessee; her granddaughter, Kristen Evans (Isaac), of Knoxville, Tennessee; her grandson, Jeremy Tabor, of Los Angeles, California; her grandson, Zachary Tabor (Noelle), of Morristown, New Jersey; and her great-grandson, Jude Evans, of Knoxville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Quesenberry, of Bluefield, Virginia; her nephews and nieces; and her many friends.

A funeral service celebrating her life and faith will be held at Falls Mills Christian Church, 14836 Mud Fork Road, Falls Mills, Virginia, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Ministers Tony Reed and Rick Mathena will officiate. Harold and Elsie Goins will provide special music.

Friends may visit with the family at Falls Mills Christian Church on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 4 PM until 7 PM and on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 10 AM until 11 AM prior to the funeral.

Burial will follow at Harry Cemetery in Falls Mills, VA. Pallbearers will be Matthew Tabor, Jeremy Tabor, Zachary Tabor, Randy Ernest, Thomas Tabor, Jr., and Isaac Evans.
