Lois Delp Obituary

Lois Marea Delp, 92, of Rock, died Friday, September 20, 2024. Born March 15, 1932 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late William S. Six and Willie Maudilina Whittaker Six.


Mrs. Delp was home league secretary of the women's ministries of the Salvation Army in West Virginia and Florida. She also served as senior director in Florida. She and her late husband spent winters in Florida. She was an avid collector of Shirley Temple dolls.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carnis Harold Delp; one daughter, Judy Ann Delp; one son, David Hugh Delp; and three brothers, Joe Six, Jake Six and Carl Six.


Survivors include seven children, Connie Jones and husband Steve of Mount Gilead, NC, Gaylon Price and husband Stan of Lashmeet, Candy Biggers and husband Keath of Jacksonville, FL, Pam Brown and husband Steve of Orlando, FL, Janis Lambert and husband Brian of Check, VA, Edwina Howerton and husband Scott of Lexington, SC and Timmy Delp and wife Laura of Princeton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; and her fur babies, Baby and Little Bit.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Major Keath Biggers and Sgt. Melissa White officiating. Interment will follow at the Delp Family Cemetery in Rock.


The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.bailey-kirk.com.
