Junior Bee Osborne
Born September 3, 1922 in Monte Carlo (Wyoming County), he was the son of the late Jonathan McKinley Osborne and Eva Victoria Quesenberry Osborne.
Junior served his country proudly, a veteran of World War II with the U.S. Navy. Junior retired from the Mercer County Board of Education with 35 years of service, retiring as the General Superintendent of Building & Grounds in 1977. He then started and was head of the area Laymen's group in Mercer County for many years. He had pastored the Stinson United Methodist Church, Pisgah United Methodist Church, Melrose Presbyterian Church and Ada Chapel Community Church. A member of and Secretary/Treasurer of the Association of Fundamental Ministers and Churches. Junior was a faithful member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Princeton.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Irene Gilpin Osborne; five siblings: J.D. Osborne, David Osborne, Ruth Roland, Joyce Dobbins and Faye McPherson, step brother, William "Bill" Harvey; sons-in-law: Doff Harvey & Mike Barr and step mothers: Edith Harvey Osborne and Pearl Profitt Osborne.
Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 27 years, Anita Louise Wimmer Osborne; three daughters: Linda Taylor, Debbie Harvey, & Norma Barr, Stepdaughter, Pamela Bailey; grandchildren: Angela Taylor, Kevin Barr, Chris Barr & wife Andrea, Chad Harvey & wife Ashley. Step grandsons: Kelly Bailey & Kevin Bailey. Great Grandchildren: Emily & Todd Barr. Siblings: J.W. (Bud) Osborne, Elmer Osborne & wife Marilyn, Tom Osborne & wife Gwen, and Frank Osborne & wife Rose, Margaret Smith-Carnes, Maxine Olsen & husband Gene. Stepsisters: Jean Green and Shirley Ellis & husband David along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Services celebrating the life of Junior Osborne will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Maranatha Baptist Church on the Oakvale Road in Princeton with Pastors Marvin Mills & Carl Stanton officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit the family Tuesday evening, from 5 until 7 P.M. at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton and one hour prior to services at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin & Chris Barr, Chad Harvey, Todd Barr and the Deacons of the church. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Collis and Buddy Tolley.
