Mrs. Judith Jackson Shrader, 86, passed away on November 12, 2024, in High Springs, FL. Judith was born on September 18, 1938 in Bluefield, WV, to Gillespie and Sylvia Jackson. She graduated from Graham High School in 1955 and went on to earn a Nursing Degree from LewisGale Nursing School.


Judith married Sam Shrader on December 23, 1958. The couple had 4 children, Terry Shrader (deceased), Cindy Cool, Kristy Helmsen and Amy Anderson.


Judith was best known for her love of Jesus, horses and family. While living in Virginia, she taught Sunday School at Graham Christian Church in Bluefield VA. After moving to Pittsburgh, Pa, she was the District Commissioner for Brush Run Pony Club for several years. She loved spending time with and taking trips with the whole family.


Judith is survived by her husband Sam Shrader of 65 years, her daughters: Cindy Cool (Ike), Kristy Helmsen (Joe) and Amy Anderson (Greg), her grandchildren: David & John Shrader, Jordan Cool and Katelyn Cool Langlois, Christopher, Gavin & Jackson Helmsen, John "Jack", Nathan and Mia Anderson, and her great-grandchildren: Ethan, Elsie & Daniel Shrader, J.J. and Jordyn Shrader and Matteo & Juliette Langlois. Judith is preceded in death by her mother Sylvia Jackson, her father Gillespie Jackson and her son Terry Shrader.


The service & visitation for Mrs Judith Shrader will be as follows:

Visitation: Sunday, Nov 17, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va.

Funeral Service: Monday Nov. 18, 1:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Mortuary

Burial: Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, VA.
