Cedar Bluff, Virginia - Jerry Harris, age 88, of the Indian Creek section of Cedar Bluff, VA, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

Jerry was born on June 25, 1934 in Pounding Mill, VA and was the son of the late Walter and Clara Ringstaff Harris. He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, serving during Vietnam. He worked as a butcher at Deskins and was a lifelong resident of the area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Darbie Brown; and a brother, Skip Harris.

He is survived by: His Wife, Shirley Coleman Harris, Daughter, Pam Harris-Bashford and husband, Alan of Wichita, KS A host of family and friends also survive.

A graveside service for Jerry Harris will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum #4 in Claypool Hill, VA with the Rev. Steve White officiating. Entombment will follow. Frank Deel, Mike Ratliff, Ryan Ratliff, and Jake Ratliff will serve as honorary pallbearers. The Casey-Shortt VFW Post #9640 will conduct military graveside rites. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Legacy Hospice; 1963 Second Street; Richlands, VA 24641.
