WARRIORMINE - Jasper Wayne "J.W." Centers, age 33, of Warriormine, WV died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at a Gaston County, NC hospital. He was born March 27, 1982 at Bluefield, WV and was the son of Dewey Wayne Centers of Warriormine, WV and Laura Mitchell of Berwind, WV. J.W. enjoyed fishing, hunting and looking for ginseng. His greatest times were spent playing and roughhousing with his kids, who were his pride and joy. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother; his zeal for life and carefree spirit will be missed by his family and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by one sister, Victoria Waynette "Punkin" Centers; maternal grandparents, Gethie Bolen and Rose McCoy Pierce; paternal grandparents, Jasper and Arthalee Sturgil Centers. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Amanda Hess Centers; his children, Destiny Jolene Centers and Randy David Centers, both of the home; four sisters, Juanita Perkins and husband, Jeffery of Berwind, WV, Frances White and husband, Billy of Gastonia, NC, Loretta Fuller and husband, David of Stanley, NC and Renee Mitchell of Warriormine, WV; four brothers, James Hicks and Johnathan Centers and wife, Crystal both of Berwind, WV, Frankie Hicks and wife, Teresa of King's Mountain, NC, and Rex Allan Hicks, Sr. and wife, Jackie of Mt. Holly, NC; special aunt, who he called mother, Theda Keene of Crouse, NC; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive. Funeral services for Jasper Wayne "J.W." Centers will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Yukon Pentecostal Holiness Church at Yukon, WV with Pastors Lacy Griffith, Randy Campbell and Ray Estep officiating. Burial will follow at the Hartwell Cemetery in Hartwell, WV. Pallbearers will be David Muncy, Chris Muncy, Johnathan Centers, Shaun Kennedy, Micheal Vestal and Derek Vestal. Honorary pallbearers will be Rex Hicks, Jason Mitchell and Frankie Hicks. The family will receive friends at the Church after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
