James David "J.D." Lawson GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - James David "J.D." Lawson, 47, of Greeneville, passed away, Monday, March 7, 2016 at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Janice Lawson; two children, Crystal Nicole Lawson, Zoee Elizabeth Lawson; grandson, Luke Allen Owens; sisters, Deborah Whitteker, of Roanoke, VA, Beverly Smith (Gary), also of Roanoke, VA; brother, Donald Lawson (Dreama), of Bluefield, VA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter O. and Margaret Green Lawson; paternal grandparents, James T. and Mary S. Lawson; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Green Lawson; brother, Walter O. Lawson, Jr., special brother in law, Don Whitteker; nephew, Matthew David Smith. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 4-7 pm at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 pm in Jeffers Downtown Chapel, with Chaplain Mark Morgan officiating.
