TANNERSVILLE, VA Helen Neal Franklin, age 94, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at English Meadows Assisted Living in Abingdon, VA. She was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Virginia Belle Shrader Neal, and also preceded in death by her husband Luther Estil Franklin; two sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Franklin was a member of Wesleys Chapel United Methodist Church, was retired from Tazewell County School System and enjoyed working with stained glass.

She is survived by three daughters, Pat Britton and husband John of Marion, VA, Sandy Carter and husband Brad of Tannersville, VA and Clara Corell and husband Bob of Tazewell, VA; two sons, Eddie Franklin and wife Leigh Ann of Saltville, VA, and Don Franklin and wife Pam of Charlotte, NC; brother, Wiley Neal and wife Marie of Tannersville, VA; sister, June Necessary of Tazewell, VA; nine grandchildren, Mary Beth Greer and husband Tim, Lee Ann Hubbard and husband James, Robin Dickerson and husband Tommy, Reese Corell and wife Terisa, Stephen Britton and wife Susan, James Britton, Sage Farmer, Dakotah Franklin and Deveney Franklin; ten great grandchildren, Will Greer, Braden Greer, Marilla Hubbard, Koraline Hubbard, Emerine Corell, Daniel Corell, Riley Britton, Zach Britton, Ian Britton and Mabel Britton; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Wesleys Chapel United Methodist Church in Tannersville, VA. Burial will follow in the Neal Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
