Hazel Lavern Perkins
LASHMEET - Hazel Lavern Perkins, 83, of Lashmeet, went to her forever home on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born January 2, 1936 in McComas, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Repass and Nannie Gillenwater Repass.
Lavern was known for her humor, love shown to all her family, and was a great inspiration to all who knew her. She enjoyed family get togethers, attending church functions, and Fridays out with her friends. She attended Lashmeet Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Moses (Buddy) E. Perkins; and seven siblings, James, "Boots," and Everett Repass, Mae Hylton, Dorothy Saunders, Frances Kilby and Edna A. Repass.
Survivors include sons, Danny Perkins and wife Vicki of Princeton, Randy Perkins and wife Debra of Lashmeet and David Perkins and wife Sherry of Princeton; seven grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Special people in her life included "The Golden Girls" Mac, Garnett, Sue and Delilah and Linda Furchess and her church family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Jerry Heaton officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 9, 2019 from noon until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
