Harry C. "Mr. Hollywood" Dolbow Sr., age 69, of Ballard, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, Va. Born May 31, 1942 at Bridgeton, N.J., he was the son of the late Warren Lewis Dolbow Sr., and Caroline Ruth Wolbert Dolbow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Harry Dolbow Jr. Harry was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He worked at Mannington Mills in New Jersey, and at Bridgeton Dye and Finishing for 10 years. He moved to West Virginia in 1979 where he was employed by the West Virginia Dept. of Highways at the Peterstown State Road Garage. He was a member of the National Guard Unit located at Hinton, W.Va. until 1983. Mr. Hollywood enjoyed hanging out at the Dairy Queen in Rich Creek, Va., which he called his office. He loved deer hunting, going to Kirks in Hinton to feed the ducks, and watching wrestling with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Florence E. Via Dolbow; one son, Harry C Dolbow III, and wife Peggy; one daughter, Jennie Dolbow and Timothy "Punkie" Bailey, all of Ballard, W.Va.; four brothers, Warren L "Sonny" Dolbow Jr., and wife Elaine of Bridgeton, N.J., Terry Dolbow of Cape May, N.J., Perry Dolbow of Quinton, N.J., Gary Dolbow and wife Mary of Alloway, N.J.; three sisters, Karen Dolbow Cheesman of Bridgeton, N.J., Sharon May of Alloway, N.J., Sherry Melody Diorio and husband Lance of Vineland, N.J.; five grandsons, Shannon (Little Louie), Scottie (Buddy), Dustin (Quaker Jack), Chevy (Guantanamo) and Braxton (Quarterback); several nieces, nephews, and his two little buddies, Sissy and Snowbud Light. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday September 16, 2011 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, W.Va., with Pastor David Spencer and the Reverend Doug Hargro officiating. Burial will follow at the Orchard Cemetery, Ballard, W.Va., with military rites conducted by Pembroke VFW Post 311, Narrows VFW Post 6000, Narrows American Legion Post 68, and Peterstown Rowe Jones Post 145. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
