Wilmington, NC - Harold Gene Shrewsbury, 75, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was born on August 11, 1950, to Ken and Nina Shrewsbury.
Born and raised in Beeson, WV, Harold was known for his tireless dedication and love for his family. He was a hard-working coal miner, and he retired in 2006. Harold was a humble man who proclaimed faith in Jesus Christ. He always put others first and his own needs second. Harold was one of a kind, and he will be greatly missed here on earth.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Drenda, and his three children, Gregory (Sheila), Anthony (Julie), and Jessica, as well as six grandchildren, Austen, Michael, Audrey, Emily, Kiera, and Dean. He is also survived by his brothers, Murl (Jewell) and Richard, and his sister, Patricia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Nina, his brother, Randall, his sister-in-law, Kathy, and his brother-in-law, Bernard.
A private service will be held in honor of Harold's life.
