George JR Green, 90, of Peterstown, WV, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at his home.
He was born March 3, 1931, at Welch, WV. He was the son of the late Leonard and Edna Green of North Welch, WV. George was a proud veteran of the Armed Services having served with the US Navy and the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; two sisters; a brother; four daughters; and one grandson.
Survivors include his sons, Mike Green, Mark Green, Jeffrey Green, Benny Roberts, Bruce Murasky, James McComas, and Russell LeMaster; daughters, Sandy Blankenship, Rita Bailey, Carla Murasky, Amanda Cochran, Georgia Hart and Chloe Cochran; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Princeton, WV. Friends may call from 11:00AM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
