Tazewell, Virginia - Frances Ross Jackson, age 96, of Tazewell, VA, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at Dogwood Crossing in Tazewell, VA. Born October 18, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Frank Ross and Mary Ann Betro Ross. Frances was a devout member of and attended faithfully St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Tazewell, VA. A true fashionista, Frances always looked her best and made a bold statement each and every day. She loved to garden and she was an excellent homemaker—ensuring that her family had a warm, loving and—being a "décor expert"—well-decorated home. She was a wonderful woman who loved her family deeply. Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Herman Jackson; sister, Mary Ann McCoy; brothers, James Ross, Joe Ross and Sam Ross; son, Charles Michael Jackson; daughter, Carrie Regina Hamilton; three grandchildren, Charles Jesse Jackson, Franklin David Sergent, and Sarah Marie Jackson; great-grandchild, Olivia Grace Tester.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, John Jackson and wife Margaret "Marty" of Eustis, FL; daughters, Cynthia Lambert of Tazewell, VA and Toni Tester and husband Baine of North Tazewell, VA; 13 grandchildren, Angie Mitchem, Renee Boswell, Jason Sergent, Michael Lambert, Emily Lambert, Carrie Bryant, Anna Jackson, Julie Ayers, Kenneth Hale, Natalie Tester, Zach Tester, Anita Duty and Heather Casey. Thirty great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren also survive. Also surviving are former son-in-law, Jeff Hamilton and wife Sonya of Tazewell, VA.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Tazewell, VA where a mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM with Father Renier Supranes officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
