GRUNDY, Va. Edna Justus Marks, of Grundy, VA, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hurley, VA, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Bertha McClanahan Justus. Prior to returning to Buchanan County, she lived in Ohio for 25 years where she raised her family. She was a member of the Grundy Baptist Church and worked at Piggy Wiggly cafeteria when she first moved back. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a retired secretary at Professional Opticians. Mrs. Marks helped with Vacation Bible School, Fall Festivals, Bake Sales for Cancer Drives and had a special interest in gardening, flowers, driving her little red sports car and loved meeting new people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Marks; Brothers: James Justus, Clell Justus, Woodrow Justus, Glenn Justus and Dave Justus Jr.; Sisters: Lottie Rife, Pearl Rife, Maggie Rife and Birdie Justus.

Those left to cherish her memory include 2-Daughters: Shelia (Les) Marks-Mullins, Grundy, VA, Sharon Kay (Robert) Mucha, Villa Rica, GA; 2-Grandchildren: Christopher (Ashley) Mucha, Fayetteville, GA, Courtney (Dustin) Hubbard, La Grange, GA; 3-Great-Grandchildren: Dayton Mucha, Bryce Hubbard and Anderson Hubbard; and a special friend, Patsy Stiltner. Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for EDNA JUSTUS MARKS will be conducted Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Crouse officiating with music by Eddie and Kathy Hannah with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA with graveside rites by Chris Mucha.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday afternoon at 1:00 P.M. till the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Les Mullins, Rob Mucha, Chris Mucha, Dustin Hubbard, Harold Bevins Jr., and Benny Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Curtis and Janice Crouse, Special Nurse: Hester Horn, Red Rife, Ralph and Shirley Perry, Bobby Reece, Tina Compton and Members and Attendees of Grundy Baptist Church.
