Dwight Allen Miller Obituary

Leckie - "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you

rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in

heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke in easy and my

Dwight Alan Miller of Leckie, West Virginia, passed away on June 9th, 2025,

at his residence. Dwight was born on March 21st, 1935, in Jekin Jones, West

Virginia, to the late Onnie T. Miller and Beatrice M. Dolinger Miller.


Dwight had been a resident of Leckie for 66 years where he started a family

and watched them grow. Dwight was a lover of shooting guns, big or small, he

loved going to shooting matches. He was a lover of the Lord and ingrained

that love into each of his children and grandchildren. Dwight never met a

stranger and loved everyone as much as they loved him. He will be greatly

missed by family and friends.


In addition to his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by his wonderful

wife of 57 years, Pansy D. Miller his son Terry Parnell, and his

sons-in-law, Steve Miller, Ray Wooldrige, and David Trivett.


Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Jimmy Parnell and wife

Betty, of Leckie, WV, and their four children, Veronica Miller of Bluefield,

VA, and her three children, Karen Sanson and husband Jimmy, of Anawalt, WV,

their three children, Yvonne Wooldrige of Leckie, WV, and her three

children, Jerry Parnell and wife Kathy, of Anawalt, WV, and their two

children, Mike Miller and wife Deb, of Conklintown, WV, and their two

children, Doug Miller and wife Kathy, of Conklintown, WV, and their three

children, Sharon Rose and husband Kenny of Bluefield, VA, and their three

children, and Nina Trivett of Abbs Valley, VA, and her daughter. Dwight had

27 grandkids, 38 great grandkids, and 4 great-great grandkids.


Dwight's care takers were his youngest daughter Nina and granddaughter,

Sheyenne and youngest son Doug Miller as well as his son Mike Miller. They

devoted their time daily to care for him.


Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The

Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV, with Rev. Jimmy Sanson

officiating. Burial will follow at Haws Orchard Cemetery in Grayson County,

VA, with Jerry Parnell, Mike Miller, Doug Miller, Andrew Semonco, Dewey

Camp, and Nathan Bell serving as pallbearers.


A visitation will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM at

Cravens-Shires Funeral Home.
