Dollie Mae Lawrence, faithful servant, devoted wife and loving mother, 91, of Rock River Road, Rock, WV, went to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at her home.
Born on May 12, 1928 in Rock, she was a daughter of the late Rev. William O. Keys and Mellie Archer Keys. She had been a lifelong resident of Rock and was an active member of the Montcalm Church of God for 54 years. She volunteered at Princeton Health Care Center and the Maples Nursing Home for over 30 years. She was an avid lover of Jesus, family, flowers, photos and birdwatching, especially her beloved hummingbirds. She was a dedicated historian of her small town of Rock and created a website that contains an abundance of information that she compiled over many years. Her website is at www.rockwva.com
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Keith Keys of Rock, WV, Trevor Keys of Chesterland, OH, Kermit Keys of Bluefield, WV and W.O. Keys, Jr. (Bill) of Bluefield, WV.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 71 years, Ryan M. Lawrence, Jr. of the home. She was adored and cherished by her children, sons, Michael Ryan Lawrence and wife Janie of Rock, WV; Timothy Wayne Lawrence and wife Pam of Ruther Glen, VA; daughters, Linda Gail Augustosky and husband Frank of Rock, WV; Judith Diane Pendergrass and husband Roy of Rock, WV; Susan Beth Mallamaci and husband Tony of Bluefield, WV and Deborah Carol Nolley and husband Steve of Rocky Gap, VA. She had 17 beautiful grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 20 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Mac Riggins and Rev. Joey Yeatts officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family serving as pallbearers.

Dolly was the sweetest lady. She was always so kind to our residents at PHCC. Her and Bro. Lawrence are very special to us. I pray God gives your family peace and comfort. Love you guys!!
