Princeton - Dexter Odell Cline, 72, of Bullcreek and Princeton, WV, surrounded by his family, closed his eyes on earth and opened them in Heaven on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Dexter was born February 18, 1949 a son of the late Epp and Mary Cline. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He worked at Iaeger Coal Sales and Eagle Coal Company. Dexter and the Cline boys were the owner and operator of Pentagon Mining Inc., Cline Brothers Coal Company and Granny-Kat's Kitchen. Dexter was also Vice President of Big Foot Campground in Galiapolis, OH. He and his wife Judy were the 2005 McDowell County Foster Parents of the year. He was an avid livestock trader, farmer hunter and fisherman.

Dexter never met a stranger, to know him was to love him. He was a loving husband and dad. He was his family's refuge.

In addition to his parents, Dexter was preceded in death by his, wife Judy Frances Cline; one son, Dexter Dale Cline; one daughter Dextrina "Dixie" Cline; one grandson, Matthew Dale Short; two brothers, Harold and Ralph Cline, and one brother-in-law, Jerry Fannin.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Glynda Charley Cline of Princeton; four daughters, Micki Short and Robert of Iaeger, Kathy Coleman and husband Joe of Princeton, Jennifer Ombler and husband Matthew of Bluefield, and Stormy Romeo and husband AJ of Princeton; five sons, Jeremy Cline and wife Kim of Isaban, Joshua Cline and wife Kendra of Isaban, and Jacob, Jonathan and Dakota Cline; 15 grandchildren, Grayson, Mariah, Danielle, Parker, Layla, Steven, Dewey, Tyler, Travis, Heather, Jacob, Tara, Tabitha, Sam and Jeannie; nine great grandchildren, Kyle, Brianna, Jayden, Kylee, Lakeita, Harper, Sophie, Malaya and Reese; two brothers, Donald Cline and Cathy and Kermit Cline and Fern all of Bullcreek; four sisters, Josephine Mullins of Guesses Fork, Ethel Lester and Brenda Blankenship and Walker all of Bullcreek, and Tammy and Tommy of Rock House; and a special buddy, sister in-in-law, Margaret Fannin and son Roger and friend Bob of Huntington.

Funeral services will be conducted where Dexter was saved and baptized at, the Panther Missionary Baptist Church in Panther on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1 o'clock with Pastor John Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Cline Cemetery at Mohawk. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit with the family at the Panther Missionary Baptist Church in Panther on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 after 5 p.m.
