Daniel Oran


SPEEDWAY - Daniel Oran "Danny" Cunningham, 68, of Double Cabin Branch Road, Speedway, died Saturday, September 7, 2019 at his home.
Born February 8, 1951, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Oran Burlis and Berneice June Wimmer Cunningham.
Danny was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend who loved the Lord.
He was a 1969 graduate of Athens High School.
Danny was a vacuum cleaner repairman who really enjoyed his music, flea marketing and his computer. He was a member of Painter's Chapel United Methodist Church at Speedway where he was the soundman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alice "Cookie" Cunningham and a brother James "Jimmy" Cunningham.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving sister, Rebecca June "Becky" Gusler and husband David of Princeton; loving brother, Joseph Kyle Cunningham and wife Maria of Pembroke Pines, FL; special aunt and uncle, Betty Jo Snider and husband Mason; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his church family; his four legged companion, Dixie.
We will celebrate the life of Daniel Oran "Danny" Cunningham at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 12, 2019, from Painter's Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastors Butch Damewood and Randy Sargent officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour at the church.

The Cunningham family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.

Danny was a fine person, musician, and dear friend. He never complained about anything, and always had a great
story to share. We always enjoyed seeing him at Sandy's Christmas gathering, and have a lot of great memories from days gone by. We send our condolences to his family.
