Corbie David Hounshell, Sr., went home to be with Jesus, December 24, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents; William Stuart and Lona French Hounshell; his wife, Thelma Richmond Hounshell; a brother, William Allen Hounshell and sister, Willie Cook.
Mr. Hounshell was very active in the community as a member of the Rocky Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church, a member of the Rocky Gap Ruritan Club and also very active with youth league sports.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol and Greg Eversole, Rocky Gap; a son, Corbie David, Jr. and Rhonda Hounshell, Rocky Gap; five grandchildren, Grant, Hannah and Evan Hounshell and Kyle and Taylor Eversole. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday December 28, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bland Funeral Chapel and interment was held at 12:00 noon Wednesday December 29, 2020 at the French Slaughter Cemetery, Rocky Gap.
Bland Funeral Chapel, Bland, Va. is serving the Hounshell Family.
