Bluefield, WV - Clinton Madison Goad, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026.

He was born at home on June 9, 1943, in Bluefield, WV. Clinton was a son of the late Coy Madison Goad and Ruth Anna (Hurt) Goad.

His priority was dedicating his

life to his Lord, and savior, Jesus Christ. Secondly, he was a very loving man and always provided for his family.

Clinton retired from the Bluefield Fire Department after 28 years of service. He reached the rank of Senior Training Captain.

Clinton was also an ordained pastor who served many churches in West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Ann (Buckland) Goad; four children by age, Jeffrey Joe Buckland, Katherine

Ruth Goad, Cathy Ann Buskell, and Clinton Madison Goad II; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren,

and several nieces and nephews.

Clinton's wishes were to have a private graveside service on January 13, 2026, with Pastor Ian Fowler, his son-in-law, officiating.

Memorials can be made to Northstar Baptist Church in Bristol, Virginia.
