Bluefield, WV - Bluefield, WV - Claude H. Johnson, Jr, age 91, of Bluefield, WV, died Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Westwood Center in Bluefield, VA.

Born November 29, 1934 in Bluefield, WV he was a son of the late Claude H. Johnson, Sr. and Cora Mae Thompson Johnson.

Claude was a lifelong resident of Bluefield, a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, and retired from EIMCO formerly Coppinger Machinery Service as a machinist with 40 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Stowers Johnson, 2 sisters; Margaret Tolbert and Claudine Bailey; and a brother Douglas Johnson.

Claude is survived by a daughter Sandra Fariss of West Point, VA, and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge Bob Wassum and Andrew Trane.

Graveside services will be conducted at Monte Vista Park Cemetery at 12:00 pm Thursday February 19, 2026. It is requested that memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity.
