Burnice  Meadows
LERONA - Burnice Meadows, 95 of Hinton Road, Lerona, died peacefully early Sunday, October 6, 2019, at his residence. Born January 9, 1924 at Pipestem, he was the son of the late Ward Benjamin and Effie Pearl Farley Meadows. Mr. Meadows received his education in Pipestem.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and brother. He was a member of Cooks Chapel Regular Baptist Church at Pipestem. Mr. Meadows was a well-known housebuilder and brick mason. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 64 years Nona Hill Meadows, daughter Cleda Mae Miller, granddaughter Cythiana Marlena Miller, daughter-in-law, Thelma Meadows, three brothers: Dean, Charlie and Hartley Meadows and two sisters, Blanch Hill and Genevieve Farley.
Left to cherish his memory are three children, Edna (Faye) McMichael and husband Gary, James E. Meadows and wife Nancy, and Dana L. Meadows; Five grandchildren, Lenny McMichael and wife Lorraine, Brian McMichael, Jeromy Miller, Steven Meadows and Pamela Patterson and husband Randy; Four great-grandchildren, Amanda Rodriguez, Rebecca McMichael, Matthew Patterson and Abigail Patterson; Two great-great-grandchildren, Lilli Payne and Lelynn Payne.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Dallas Peyton Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Family Cemetery at Pipestem State Park.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday (today) from 5 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be James, Dana & Steven Meadows, Jeromy Miller, Lenny McMichael and Bobby Hill.
The Meadows family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
