GRUNDY, Va. — Brenda A. Wimmer, 69 years of age of Grundy, VA, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, TN. Born in Rocky Gap, VA, she was the daughter of Harold Andrews and Louise (Richardson) Neal, both of Rocky Gap, VA. She was a resident of Buchanan County since 1975 and was a member of Vansant Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a retired Human Resources Associate for Jewell Smokeless.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Michael A. Wimmer; her sons, Jeff Wimmer (wife Sharon and daughter Lauren) and David Wimmer (wife Lara and sons Jack and Benjamin); her brother, Clay Neal (Fiancee Missy Nester); her sister, Cookie Morrison (Daryl and children Jennifer and Jared); her aunt, Virginia Gills.

Funeral Services for Brenda A. Wimmer will be conducted Friday, December 16, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Mike Rife, Vansant Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Noon at the Laurel Fork Cemetery, Rocky Gap, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday afternoon from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Craig Gills, John Gills, Daryl Morrison, Jared Morrison, Becky Richardson, Garland Tolbert and Estel Crouse.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Elders of Vansant Church of Christ.
