Brenda Carol
Brenda Carol "Bea" Horn, 74 of the Mudfork community of Bluefield, VA passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.
Born August 21, 1945 in Tazewell County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Mose Hayes and Helen Mae Jennings Hayes. She was a member of the Tip Top United Methodist Church and was very active in the church before her failing health. Brenda was a licensed cosmetologist and owner-operator of Brenda's Beauty Shop for twenty-one years. She loved to meet people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed playing softball, cooking, sewing, and clogging.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Jimmy L. Horn; son, Tim Horn and wife, Patty of Tazewell, VA; brother, Ronnie Hayes and wife, Brenda of North Tazewell, VA; grandsons, Cody Edward Horn and Austin Lee Horn both of Tazewell, VA; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Kelly Bandy of Tazewell, VA.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Tip Top United Methodist Church at Tip Top, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with Pastor Carlos Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Dickerson Cemetery at Mudfork, VA. Pallbearers are Austin Horn, Cody Horn, Kevin McGuire, Stanley Sparks, Zack Gross, and Jacob Robinette.
Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home of Tazewell, VA is serving the family.
