Betty Louise Taylor Blevins Obituary

Princeton - Betty Louise Taylor Blevins of Princeton, WV departed this world on Friday,

March 20, 2026 and entered into her eternal home in glory, serenaded by

angels up to the throne. When God created her, He broke the mold because He

wanted only one of her. She was loving, kind, patient, and most of all she

knew how to pray. When she prayed, all of heaven paid attention. When she

prayed, God moved on her behalf and answered her prayers because He knew

who she was. She was the last surviving member of her family and was 94

years old.


Betty was born in Switchback, WV. She was the daughter of the late John and

Hallie Taylor. Betty joined the Maybeury Church of God in 1962, where she

was a charter member. She taught 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School class. She

also was over the singing for many years. She was a cook at Switchback

Elementary for 16 years.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband -

Thomas (Jr.) Blevins, two brothers - James Taylor, Claude Taylor; five

sisters - Nellie Osborne, Martha Cecil, Margaret Snider, Mary Boots, Ruby

Kinzer; and one grandson - Christopher James.


Survivors include two sons - Arthur (Cindy) Blevins of Bluefield, WV,

Anthony Michael (Ronda) Blevins of Bluefield, WV; two daughters - Rev.

Dovie "Dolly" (David) Sexton of Bluefield, WV, Hallie (Randy) James of

Freeman, WV; three granddaughters whom she adored - Heather Sexton, Misty

Bishop, Traci Seabolt; two great grandchildren who affectionately called

her Gigi - Noah Seabolt, Zoe Sexton Allen; one special niece who was like a

sister to her - Hallie Boots Quesenberry; and many nieces and nephews.


Friends may call on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Maybeury Church of God

in Maybeury, WV from 06:00-8:00 PM


Funeral services will be held at the Maybeury Church of God on Wednesday,

March 25, 2026 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Abram and Rev. Kenny Bogart

officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Bluewell,

WV with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
