Bethel Vencill Arnold
Bethel Vencill Arnold age 83, of Pounding Mill, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 in Tazewell, Virginia following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Richlands, Virginia on February 2, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Marsh and Ida Florence Smith Vencill. Bethel was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She attended the Cliffield Church of Christ and was a lifelong resident of the area. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Arnold; daughter, Catherine Marie Arnold; Son, Albert Daniel Arnold and several brothers and sisters.
Those remaining to carry on her spirit are her: Daughters: Connie Asbury and husband Ed, of Tazewell, VA, Sherry Chambers and husband Jason, of Abingdon, VA; Sons: Harold Arnold and wife Jackie, of Pounding Mill, VA, David Scott Arnold of Abingdon, VA; Grandchildren: Chris Arnold, Victoria Wyatt, Sabrina Yokum, Abram Arnold, Jacob Arnold; Great-grandchildren: Olivia Arnold, Benjamin Wyatt, Alexis Wyatt.
Funeral services for Bethel Arnold will be conducted at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia, with Bro. Danny Matney officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers are Alan Wyatt, Jason Chambers, Abram Arnold, Dennis Yokum, Chris Arnold, Jacob Arnold.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am on Wednesday until time of service at 1:00 pm.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
