Bernice Nadine Lambert Bridges of Bland, Va. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2023 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Elbert and Stella Howell Lambert a brother, Darrell Lambert, her husband, Wayne Bridges and her son, Randy Bridges.

Nadine was born November 9,1935, She graduated from Bland High School and went to work for Ceres Elementary School and Bland Co. Public Schools for 36 years. Nadine married the love of her life, Roy Wayne Bridges in 1953. Nadine loved being outdoors where she enjoyed planting gardens, mowing, and walking around the pond. Nadine was known for her love of children especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son: Danny and Melanie Bridges. Her daughter-in-law: Arlene Bridges. Five grandchildren, Beth (Monty) Matthews, Laura (Derrick) Hall, Kayla (Cody) Agee, Meagan Cregger, and Taylor Bridges. Nine great grandchildren, William & Abby Grace Matthews, Kaitlyn, Dillon and Darien Hall, Easton, Aniston & Arlo Agee & Mia Cregger. Nadine also leaves behind her lifelong best friend Polly Smith and her loving neighbors that were like grandchildren to her Jody, Joanie, Olena, Jillian and Ada Lambert.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bland Funeral Chapel. The family received friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening March 7, 2023 at the Bland Funeral Chapel. Interment will be Wednesday (today), March 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Robinette Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, c/o Loree Waddle, 5440 South Scenic Hwy, Bland, Va. 24315.
