Balford Eugene Lester 11/28/1947 - 9/4/2022 Went to be with the Lord September 4, 2022.

Balford known as Eugene or Gene to family and friends. He was born in Russell County, Virginia on November 28, 1947 to Della Mae Vencill Lester and Grat W. Lester was the youngest of fourteen children.

Eugene lived a large portion of his adult life in and around Russell and Tazewell Counties, Virginia where he met and married the love of his life June McCoy. After the passing of his wife he moved to Woodbridge, Virginia and the last few years of his life he resided in Manassas, Virginia.

He is survived by 1 sister, Louise Rupert (Clyde) of Kenbridge, Virginia, 4 step-children (Randy, Greg, Joannie and Jeannie Sue) and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, mother, father, 4 sisters and 8 brothers.

Services to be held Wednesday, September 7 at 2 p.m. at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Claypool Hill, Virginia. Visitation 1 hour prior to service.
